Hiring a bookkeeper is one of the first steps in taking your business finances seriously. But not all bookkeepers are created equal.

What to Look For

1. Experience: Do they have experience in your industry?
2. Technology: Are they comfortable with modern cloud accounting software like Xero or QuickBooks Online?
3. Communication: Do they explain things in plain English or accounting jargon?
